Start With the Workflow, Not the Model
Useful AI work starts with the handoffs, decisions, exceptions, and information gaps that shape the job—not with a guess at which model to use.

Teams often begin an AI conversation by asking which model to use. A stronger starting point is the work itself: the handoffs, decisions, exceptions, and information gaps that shape an outcome.
Map the current process first. Identify who owns each step, what context they need, and where a person must review or correct the result. That map helps determine whether the opportunity calls for retrieval, workflow automation, an agent, or a simpler software change.
Then prototype the smallest useful slice around a measurable signal such as time spent on a task, repeated data entry, or time needed to find trusted information. Keep a clear review path while the system is being evaluated.
Starting with work keeps an AI product grounded in how a business operates, and gives a team a concrete way to decide what to build next.
